Team employees famously wore “Pioneers” shirts placing Griffin alongside figures including Muhammad Ali, Martin Luther King Jr., Barack Obama, John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, and Michael Jackson.

Blake Griffin Pioneers Shirt

This shirt features a cream-colored collage of the famous faces with Griffin positioned near the top in a Clippers jersey, finished with oversized handwritten-style “Pioneers” lettering. The simple two-tone treatment gives the design a vintage, instantly recognizable basketball-meme aesthetic.

Originally intended to frame Griffin as part of a “pioneer” theme, the shirt quickly became one of the more surreal pieces of basketball free-agency history—and resurfaced again in October 2026 when Griffin discussed the infamous design during his work with Prime Video. Add the Blake Griffin Pioneers Shirt to your collection for a throwback to a bizarre, funny, and unforgettable moment in LA basketball culture.

Size Chart

T-Shirt
